The Hotel Lafayette is named in honour of Gilbert de Lafayette,e French nobleman a ststesman and a great finger for American indenpendence.The general was impisoned in the Olomouc fortress in the years 1794-1797. This remarkable building and the renovated premises have been preserved in authentic Art nouveau style.
